Fortant Hills Reserve Viognier 2012

Based on the expertise of four generations of winemakers, we want to reflect the diversity and the richness of opportunity across the Languedoc region with a full qualitative approach encompassing all the key elements from the vines to the wines.

Harvested by night to keep the freshness, each vineyard lot is gently pressed & fermented separately at low temperature for more finesse & purity. Some selected lots are fermented and aged in French oak barrels to bring richness & complexity. After 6 months of sur lies aging with battonage(for the creamy flavour), each component is blended to create the Fortant signature. Ageing 6 months sur lies in French oak.

Winemaker notes:

This wine is buttercup yellow in color and features a generous, complex nose with notes of fresh apricot and grapevine flowers. Rich and smooth on the palate boasting lovely tropical fruit flavors and a long finish.

Domaine de la Colline Chinon 2013
Made from !00% Cabernet Franc aged in stainless steel to preserve the fresh fruit character. Beautiful crips fruit tones are comploemented by light earthy nuances. This is a true country wine to be enjpyed either at room temperature or slightly chilled with a wide range of dishces including salads and roastednchicken.
from The Washington Post

“The Loire Valley is the spiritual home of cabernet franc. This wine shows the white pepper and black cherry flavors typical of the grape, in a light style that goes down easily without grandstanding for your attention. It’s a “bistro” wine, an ideal partner for simple foods. ABV: 13.5 percent.”

Fat Bastard Pinot Noir 2010

Sourced from select vineyards amidst the foothills of the Massif Central near the beautiful communes of Pézenas and Narbonne, FAT bastard Pinot Noir is a brilliant expression of the land from which it is made. The relatively high altitudes of the vineyards provide the optimal temperate conditions necessary for aroma and color development in the wine

Intense, cherry red in color with fruit-forward flavors of crushed strawberry and wild raspberry followed by delicate tannins and a long, smooth finish.
This Pinot Noir complements a variety of dishes including grilled pork sausage with white asparagus or fresh salads tossed in balsamic vinegar.
