Brinley Rums – Tasting Gold Shipwreck and Mango

Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum is hand crafted on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Kitts. Our mission is simple – to make the best tasting flavored rum in the world. We blend only the finest ingredients into our award-winning flavored rum – Shipwreck Spiced, Vanilla, Coffee, Mango and Coconut.

The family business began on the island of St. Kitts in 1986 by Bob Brinley, who now serves as chairman of Brinley Gold Rum.
In 2002, Zach Brinley, Bob’s son, traded his job on Wall Street to become president of the new rum company. His mission was to create the smoothest flavored rum in the world. Brinley Gold Rum blended and marketed its first batch of vanilla rum and started selling on the island that very same year.
From the very beginning, the entire Brinley family knew they had produced something very special and dove into the United States marketplace personally, sometimes selling store-to-store, bar-to-bar and offering free tastes at every possible opportunity. In 2005, Opici, a well-known and established New York / New Jersey distributor was the first to pick up the brand and helping the company grow tremendously over the next six years.
In 2011, after years in the making, the company launched Brinley Shipwreck Spiced Rum, a four-year-old aged rum with natural vanilla, nutmeg, orange, clove and exotic island spices. The recipe is dedicated to an actual British troop ship that sunk off the St. Kitts’ coast in 1782. Shipwreck Spiced as well as all the flavored rums continue to convert even traditional non-rum drinkers into die-hard fans.

Soleil Mimosa

“Soleil,” the French word for Sun, is pure sunshine in a bottle. A blissful blend  of luscious juices and premium white wine, graced with light effervescence, Soleil Mimosa (formerly St. Clair Mimosa) is the love-child of French ingenuity and American hard work. Winemaker Hervé Lescombes relocated from Burgundy, France to Deming, New Mexico in the Mimbres Valley appellation with plans to start a winery. Mimosas, a family tradition, have been a fixture since the winery’s beginning in 1981. Over thirty years later, Hervé’s sons, Florent and Emmanuel Lescombes, continue this tradition as the family’s sixth-generation winemakers.

We attribute our pre-mixed Mimosa’s success to the Lescombes’ drive to think outside of the bottle, dedication to a tradition of unparalleled quality, and the people of the Southwest embracing this unique product. Growing demand and popularity for this festive wine propelled our home-grown Mimosa beyond local markets and onto the national stage. As it took on more life and personality all its own, the brand name changed from St. Clair to Soleil, a reflection of the wine’s sunny nature and French heritage. The bold, new, full-color shrink-sleeves stand out from the crowd and capture the essence of Mimosa: fun, fresh, sunny beverages, perfect for any occasion. Our cider makers have been making ciders for decades. Eager to learn more about the art of cider making, our team has experimented with different styles, crafting ciders for themselves and sharing them with close friends.

After years of experimenting with different types of apples from all over the map and different cider-making techniques we learned along the way, we came up with a really imaginative, creative recipe. We knew we had something different and special…and decided we had to share these great recipes with cider drinkers across the country.

Half-Dry Still Red Alcohol: 7.0% Region: Spain In accordance with Spanish legislation and, more importantly, tradition, Opici Sangria is made using the long-established recipe.
Winemaking: Approximately 65% red wine produced in La Mancha — the oldest wine-producing region in the country — is combined with 30% water, 5% pure cane sugar and a touch of citrus fruit extract (approximately 0.1%) manufactured in Valencia — home to the best oranges and lemons in Spain. The ingredients are mixed together in special tanks with stirring arms. The blend is then filtered and bottled.
Tasting Notes: Sangria is a traditional Spanish drink typically enjoyed at times of celebration. It offers an intense expression of citrus fruit flavors. It is sweet, yet refreshing on the palate with a hint of cinnamon.
Food Pairings: Enjoy Opici Sangria chilled, either on its own or add fruit to your taste

McManis Pinot Grigio 2013

Wine Profile
Vineyard NotesThe majority of fruit for the 2013 Pinot Grigio came from our own, sustainably farmed, River Junction Vineyard located at the confluence of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Rivers. In 2013, our River Junction vineyard in the River Junction AVA was Certified Sustainable under the Lodi Rules program.
Winemaker NotesLight straw in color the 2013 Pinot Grigio from McManis Family Vineyards is a nose full of citrus scents. Lemon, Lime and Grapefruit are all present. While the wine is crisp, there is a noticeable weight to it. The flavors anticipated by the olfactory senses are abundantly delivered. The finish has a hint of mineral character.
Our Pinot Grigio is picked fairly early in the ripening process in order to encourage citrus flavors and acid balance. The grapes are picked at night so they come to the winery cold. The grapes for our 2013 Pinot Grigio were picked between August 8 – 17 with an average Brix of 22.2 Deg. After a gentle crush, the resulting must was immediately pressed and chilled. After crushing, the resulting must is pressed immediately and the wine is cold fermented in stainless steel until dry.
Certified Sustainable!
